Old Silo to Come Down

CERAMIC TILE SILO

A friend of Chipman Hill Property Services let us know that he is interested in having the tile silo presently on his land dismantled and taken away. The family farm and all the farm buildings, like so many in Vermont, has long since disappeared and the silo, probably assembled before WWII, sits like a lonely sentinel guarding the once-thriving dairy. Apparently, the silo can be taken apart piece by piece, from the top down after removing the iron bands holding it together and then possibly reused in some completely unrelated form such as the façade on a wall or let your imagination run wild! It is in Middlebury and easily accessible. CHPS has seen quite a number of unusual projects over the years; this one may top them all! Let us know if you are interested.
